First Class vs 2nd Class: Over last couple of years, 2nd Class
Eurostar Chunnel train cars have had more seats added to them. Seating
is "tight!" I am 5'3" and my knees touched the seat in front of me.
I was OK, but my taller companioned felt cramped. But ticket
price was so good. Mele of TERC
Luggage TAGS: <<We received our Eurostar Chunnel
tickets today as promised. Everything looks great, the only thing is
that there are only 2 luggage tags, and I know we will have more than 2 pieces
of luggage. Can you send us more or can I just get them at the
station? >>
You can get them at the station
<<I wasn't sure how important the luggage tags were. >>
Luggage Tags are not as important as they use to be.
Security is now very similar to airline check in security and I would recommend
getting there 1 hour before departure--particularly in Paris. You need
to fill out "landing card" which we include with Eurostar Tickets when we
ship them. But if you messed your up, you can get more there.

Get to Chunnel Departure
Earlier
The recommended 20 minute pre-boarding time for the Chunnel
crossing was too shortyou could miss your train. I recommend people
show up at least 40 minutes before departure. Lines are long. We found there
were two linesone for people checking luggage and one for us light
packers with carry ons. This line was shorter. Don't get alarmed by the seat
numbersit looked like my husband and I weren't sitting
togethernumbering has skipsbut we were together. Bring Food!
It is pricey on train and not very good.
